J.Crew Teddie Dress Review

J.Crew Teddie Dress in seashore green, size 8. I decided to try the size 8 as petite sizing was not offered. From other pictures of the dress I could see the waist was higher and the arm length at 3/4 so I thought it would still be a great fit for my body type and it does fit very well.

J.Crew Sterling Skirt Review

J.Crew Sterling skirt in double-serge wool in autumn coral, size 10 petite. The colour of the skirt reads more red in this picture but it is definitely an orange coral. Being short waisted I would style this skirt with a black or cream sweater on top of the skirt. I would never tuck the top in.

J.Crew Silk Pintuck Blouse Review

The J.Crew silk pintuck blouse in deep coral, size 8. The silk is a silk crepe and has crinkly, rough texture. I was worried the arms would be too long for my short arms but they are just right. The shape is boxy but will look lovely with dress pants and jeans. The arms are see through but the body has a lining so a camisole is unnecessary.

Reviews of J.Crew Cece Suede Ballet Flats, Biennial Hobo and Citron Toothpick Jeans

I have been trying to find a good place in my home to take pictures using time lapse but I have yet to figure it out. So here I'm putting up some photos of some J.Crew items on a white background so you can get a better sense of the colours.

Here is:

  • Toothpick jean in garment-dyed twill in light citron, size 30. The problem with having larger hips and skinny legs is that skinny jeans don't hug the calves. I could sew them in a bit more but I'm too lazy. The jeans shrink a little in the dryer too and I like them better that way as they do stretch out a bit when wearing.
  • Cece suede ballet flats in chrome green, size 7. I noticed that these are still offered but at regular price. I got mine for CAD $69 so I feel like I got a great deal.
  • Biennial Hobo in chrome green. The finish is slightly matte, definitely not glossy. With the matte finish the bag will show wear, scratches and gain patina over time. I like this look but something you may want to consider if you are thinking of purchasing the citron colour for example, as there may be dye transfer from jeans to the leather of the bag.
